2002 Isuzu Troper Alarm Going off for no reason

I just bought a 2002 Isuzu Trooper. It was parked on the street infront of our house and the alarm has been going off every 20 minutes for hours. My neighbors are getting pissed. No one is even around the car when it goes off. It seems like the wind is setting if off. Is there a way to make the system less sensitive or turn it off completely? If i pull the fuse out that is set to the Anti-Theft system will it screw everything else up? Please Help! I am afraid to drive it anywhere.

Hi it will be 99% likley its the switch under the bonnet just behind the headlight its a simple push down thing just want raising up about 1/8 of an inch so it sits snug when the bonnets shut .
Coupla washers under the blots do the trick .

Also, my driver's door is smashed in a little, but still shuts ok. I'm thinking the alarm switch there might be the culprit. Only thing is can anyone tell me how to locate this switch and what to do with it?

Pull the fuse and there is a sensor adjustment for those but you need to have it checked by a car audio and alarm guy

You will need the dealer to perform a diagnostic scan to see what is causing this, it can be one of about 6 sensors.

Anti theft shorted out.

You should look for the alarm fuse and relay and replace them.
Is it the factory alarm or what brand?

Alarm on my 2002 F250 started going off all of a sudden while parked and unlocked. the only way I could make it stop was disconnecting the batteries. what's wrong with my truck?

First, take the battery out of your key fob. All of them. Then hook the battery back up on the truck. If alarm doesn't go off, put battery in one fob. Check it out, all functions. Then check the other one. If alarm goes off when you hook truck battery back up, look for a shorted switch to whatever you alarm monitors and sets an immediate alarm when the switch is closed (or opened). If you still can't locate the reason for the alarm, consider replacing the alarm system, but not before you come back here and tell us what happened.

Alarm keeps going off for no reason and i need to know how to uninstall alarm system or cut it off completely ?

does rear cargo interior light work? put switch on door, shut rear doors and see if it goes out if it doesnt thats whats setting off alarm, check out door switch they get damaged/distorted and greatly forgotten about since this light works independantly from other interior light in cab section.

There are fuses associated with the security system that you might try pulling out. The car may not start though if the circuit is not made.

You might want to consider buying a new remote. It can be programmed to your car and you can leave the security system intact.

The factory alarm in my 2000 Trooper goes off 10-15 times per day for no apparent reason. So to avoid insanity I removed the fuse that controls the horn. Well, my alarm still goes of 10-15 times per day...

The usual cause of this is the alarm switch on the bonnet panel is too low and creeps up when you leave the car .

Just put some washers behind it so its snug when the bonnets shut down - I have done a few like his and its easier than disconnecting .

Take off the intercooler and you will see them by the injectors .

You need a good quality deep single hex socket ,say 3/8 drive to suit them (12mm ). and a bar for that socket to turn the old ones out and the new ones in .

Check your 40 amp glowplug fuse as well .

How do i reset the factory alarm and door locks on 99 Isuzu Trooper?

Hi the alarm and locks dont need resetting they do themselves is it the remote locking fob thats at fault ?
If so put the key in and turn to ign on then press both buttons on the remote fob that normally does it if not its the isuzu dealer and tech II you need.
