hi you need to turn the petral mix it just on the carb so if you take on the air breaver then you can get the right mix and its allways good to use red x or some good cleaning or even do the cleaning your self could even do with a full overhall like plugs coil and condencer and leads thanks ben
The problem wont be your timing belt. you need to take out a spark plug plug it into your HT lead and check for a strong spark or even if there is a spark. check your contact breakers on the distributor as well
