Problem varies with temp - the colder the slower and harder and also some gas pumps seem to "work: better. Would love a "cure".. winter is coming around again.....
I belive its your overflow pipe is blocked when you fill gass the air comes out of this pipe if it cant get away it will start a type of air trap you would need to look for this pipe to see if its your problem located around wheel arch area on filling side hope this helps?

All of todays cars and trucks sold in the USA are equipped with Vented Gas Filler Systems...try starting to fuel slower then increase flow after a few moments...you might also try not putting the gas nozzle fully in...but still in far enough not to spill...the pressure varies from pump to pump...:)
They are set to put the light on at a certain pressure. In the cold you can loose one pound for every 10 degree temp lose. Since the tires are new, go back were you got them installed and ask them to check if they damaged the sensors!
It sounds to me like the pump is on it's way out. You could try the the fuel pump relay, there are usually a couple relays that are the same try swapping the fuel pump relay with the horn or something. If the problem goes away then you know it's the relay. Put a mark on the fuel relay before you start so you don't lose track of it while testing. It should tell you in the owners manual which relay is for the fuel pump.
Try pumping the gas a little slower, or turn the nozzle in a different position, sometimes the gas will back up the filler tube, making it think it's full.
Go to Advance Auot parts store or Auto Zone store they will scan it for free and take gas work out of it or buy a scanner they are cheap now very very good investment
Gas Pump pressure could be cause, try slower pump handel setting. If that doesn't correct it, filler neck maybe issue. Check vent tube for kinks or obstruction. If that doesn't solve it, speak with dealer service department, sometimes Factory knows of issue and my have service information at dealerships or call factory and ask them if they know of problem.
hi working at one of the largest travel center compines in the country i have run across a lot of this. the problem is not in the car it is the pump. being that our country is in such a rush to do every thing most gas stations dile there pumps to pump gas as fast as possible this in turn makes the fuel foam up cousing the auto shut off the engage thus stoping the pump try pumping the fuel slower and thi will fix this also the filler neck is smaller it diamiter witch componds the problem next time pump slower and slow down the fuel flow and this will help
