Heating/Cooling air not coming out of dash panel vents...

I have a 1990 Buick Regal. When I turn the air conditioning or heater on, cool or warm air will come out of the top vent (along the window), and the bottom vent (at my feet) and it is the correct temperature. However, no air comes out of the vents along the entire dash. I am wanting to find out what causes this and if I can fix it, either way if I understand the problem better I can get it fixed. Thank you!

Vaccuum hose has come unattached at the firewall that regulates the baffles in the ductwork. Look for a leak or unattached hose.

Hi bensarabia,

This condition is usually an indication that the a/c refrigerant level is low. The driver's side will always get heating and cooling first. I would recommend having the refrigerant level checked and also having it leak tested.

No heat , replaced radiator , water pump, rad. cap , hoses and flushed system twice.blows cool air.whats left?

Thermostat.? if you haven't? Do it first then try it. While the car is running for a while touch the heater hoses that lead to the firewall. if one is cold and one is hot? You have a blocked Heater core. Follow the hoses back to the engine. Unconnect them both. By using a garden hose flush out the heater core do one side and then reverse by doing the other hose Lots of junk will come out so be care ful. Mistake people make is "Flushing the system" That doesn't mean your flushing the heater core.
Seeing that you have done everything else it could be the thermostat which you didn't list or the heater core being clogged. When you finished installing the thermostat and flushing the heater core out. Replenish the coolant system . If you have a bleeder on the thermostat housing? use it . loosen it and top off the fluid until you see fluid comeout of the bleeder. The system being air bound would cause no heat..

Fan not working, car is always overheats. How do I make the fan work?

After a jumper test on the fans to make sure that they work, you might take a look at your coolant level or temperature sensor. The try testing or replacing any fuses or relays wired into your air conditioning and heating circuit. In my 1998 Buick Regal, the fans never run until the air conditioner or heating fan is turned on. Unfortunately, the A.C. compressor and the cooling fans also kick in when I turn on the heater fan switch. Your best option is to wire the fans to a manual switch on your dash or just drive really fast all the time.

Heater stopped putting out heat, blower works fine air conditioning works fine

What you are saying is when you turn knob to hot you don't get any heat.? Let's start with the basics. Make sure your cooling system is filled up with coolant. Then with the engine warmedup and the temp gauge on the dash indicating between H and C. Find your heater hoses under the hood and feel them. Are they BOTH very warm or hot? os is only 1 warm and the other cool? If both are warm/hot, and still not getting heat from your vents. You have a problem with either the temp controller or the blends doors under the dash. usually the blend doors and it requires removal of the dashboard to get to it. If the heater hoses are wrm and cold then you may have a plugged heater core or water pump not circulating properly.

I have a 1990 Buick Regal v-8 Does the radiator fluid move from radiator to reservor as engine heat and cools or remain in radiator except under extreme heat conditions?

A certain amount will run into resavor or draw out after it is shut off no matter what the tempature is, the only exception is if it is low on coolant in the radiator it will draw out of the resavor to maintain the right amount to the cooling system. but when engine is running it should not do either one because the coolant is flowing.

Air Conditioning isn't cooling

You will have to take it into your nearest a/c specailist as it sound like your A/C canister needs refilling.

Blower vents on 86 regal

The blend door in the heater box itself is what directs the air to where it needs to go as per selector switch. The heater box is located under the dash.
