Transmission fluid. The lid on the reservoir should be labeled.

My sons Clutch would not engage or for that matter it would not do anything

You didn't use DOT5 brake fluid did you. DOT5 brake will swell some types of rubber and aerate the fluid which becomes compressible.

Clutch drops to floor

You have a small resevoir under the hood, like the brake fluid resevoir. This holds brake fluid also for your clutch master cylinder. See that it has fluid in it. If empty, you have a leak. If full, have someone work the clutch pedal and watch from under the vehicle to see if the clutch slave cylinder is pushing the rod in and out. (Located on the passenger side transmission bellhousing)

What fluid goes in the hydraulic release bearing on a 1990 jeep

If you mean the clutch throw out bearing??? No fluid goes into it, as it is sealed with grease packing inside. You may have a hydraulic clutch that actuates it, and that takes brake fluid. On the resevoir cap lists what kind. (DOT 3 or 4) This system is like a minature brake system, closed.

Fluid in hydraulic clutch resevoir leaks out over night. Can see a spot of fluid on the ground but can not tell fo sure where it is coming from. When I put fluid in the resevoir clutch works fine for...

It will leak more if you fill it up and operate the clutch. Have someone watch underneath to find the leak. Car does not need to be running to do this. If you don't see anything on the ground, check where the rod passes through the firewall under the dash. Fluid may be coming out of the back of the master cyl.

How do you check the clutch fluid on 1991 Jeep Wrangler?

There should be a small master cylinder for the clutch right next to the brake master cylinder, mounted more towards the fender. Remove the top cover and look inside. Regular brake fluid is used in the clutch system. If it's low, likely you have a leak so check where the rod goes through the firewall under the dash, the line itself and the slave cylinder (some are outside the bellhousing, others are inside and fluid will leak from the bottom of it.

My 93 wrangler just had a clutch change and now its leaking fluid from the tranny but not when im driving?

If the slave cyclinder is inside the trans then that might be leaking. See if you loose fluids out of the clutch fill. If it is a cable clutch then the seal could be bad were the shaft comes out of the trans.

Where is the clutch valve located on a 95 honda accord

clutch master cylinder is located drivers side firewall, right next to brake master cylinder. it has small shot glass size fluid resevoir mounted above it,fluid is fed through hose down into clutch master. clutch master cylinder has a rod mounter on ft of it that goes through firewall and attaches to clutch pedal under dash . clutch slave cylinder is mounted on ft passenger side of transmission assy. most common leak is from master cylinder, you would be able to look under dash ,follow clutch pedal up to where it attatched to clutch master pushrod.follow that rod to wear it meets up to a small 1 1/2" or so rubber boot.fluid will be leaking from that boot if master is leaking.

Bleeding the slave cylinder on a 2000 jeep wrangler

If your jeep is high enough without using jack stands, crawl under the vehicle, and on the left hand side of the clutch housing is the valve, or bleeder screw. If there is a dust cap over the screw, remove it, get a jar and a small clear plastic hose, put about 1 inch of break fluid ( that's what it uses) in the jar, slip the hose over the bleeder and the other end in the jar, Have an assistant depress the clutch pedal and hold it down. Open the bleeder screw allowing the fluid to flow. Close the bleeder when the fluid stops flowing, when closed, release the pedal, do this until all air and old fluid is out of the system. Make sure the resevoir stays full.If your model has the externally mounted release cylinder, I don't have the procedure for that, a friend is borrowing my manual.
