Dont blame you thits a rip off, remove leads they just pop off then with spark plug socket scerw out plugs and install new ones tighten up tight remember where these leads go you dont want to mix them up they will push on again this is a simple job just check new plugs against the old ones to see if same ones.

What is the firing order on a 2015 Subaru Forester 2.5i

The firing order for the 2015 Subaru Forester 2.5i is 1-3-2-4. This means that the spark plugs will fire in the following sequence: first cylinder, third cylinder, second cylinder, and fourth cylinder.
The firing order of an engine refers to the sequence in which the spark plugs ignite the fuel in the cylinders. The firing order is determined by the engine's design and is important for ensuring that the engine runs smoothly and efficiently.
In a 4-cylinder engine like the 2015 Subaru Forester 2.5i, the cylinders are typically numbered from left to right, starting at the front of the engine. The firing order for a 4-cylinder engine is typically 1-3-2-4 or 1-2-3-4, with the spark plugs firing in a sequence that alternates between the left and right sides of the engine.

What is the easiest way to change spark plugs for a subaru forester 1999

Not really hard at all. Remove air intake on pass. side, twist plug boots to help release, use socket, extension, etc. Use anti-seize on the threads of new plugs and torque to proper specs. DO THIS WITH ENGINE DEAD COLD to prevent damage to threads in head. Other side is even easier. Smear silicone grease on plug wire socket and edges to ease install and removal next time.

ROUGH IDLE

Did you replace the plugs with the same plugs (Manufacturer) as the plugs you had in there. Some cars are very picky with plugs. ie: some Japanese cars will only run well with NGK Spark Plugs. Try to use only what Subaru recommends in your engine for the best performance.

My 2003 Subaru Forrester with 89,000 miles was periodically shaking a lot the other day and I opened the hood and there was a spark coming from the coil pack. The repair place said I need a new one...

It's likely the coil. Subaru issued a TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) on this issue. This is not a recall but you may want to show this to your Subaru mechanic or call Subaru after your repair to try to at least defray some or all of the cost for the repair. The link is below:

How much should brake repair be for a 1999 Subaru

Best thing to do is get on the phone and call an auto parts store and get a price on the parts you want to replace, than bump that up about 10% more or less witch is most likely a shop will do, and then take that and add the labor, witch averages around 60 to 70 bucks per hour at a independent shop and 80 to 100 bucks per hour at a dealer. They will chg. at least 4 hours. remember this is only a gessament and everyone chg. different, but its someware in the ball park. Depending on what the parts cost 500 to 600 dollars is not out of the realm of posabilitys. whole lot cheaper if you do it yourself.
