SOURCE: 98 ford windstar has clicking noise under dash and won't start

The clicking noise is most likly the starter solinoid cycling in and out. This is due to low battery voltage. charge the battery, then have the battery and charging system tested. Some auto supply stores will do this for free for you in the hopes of selling parts

good luck

SOURCE: I have a 1969 Ford f100 3 speed manual trans,

i had a '71 dodge with three-on-the-tree that experienced binding and the only way to fix it is to replace worn parts. as for the lights, find out which connetor supplies power. perhaps it is faulty or loose. also, there may be a separate fuse located on or near the instument cluster specifically for that application.

Temperature gauge shows car is running hot but it isnt what could be causing it

The gauge is bad . Replace insturment cluster maybe . Have it tested . Could be computer or data network problem . You need to know how it works . Depending on the make , model and year vehicle . Coolant temp. sensor is a input to the PCM - engine computer, the PCM sends this information to the insturment cluster over a serial data network . Having the vehicle hooked up to diagnostic equipment is the way to find the problem . GM vehicles years 2003 to 2006 had insturment cluster problems .

Is there a fuse that works the oil pressure gauge and the battery gauge for a 2005 chevy trailblazer

NO , there is not a fuse just for those two thing's ! There are two power supply's for the whole insturment cluster . You could need a new cluster or the ECM isn't sending this info. to the cluster . Could have DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes stored in the PCM or the insturment cluster . Without knowing how this works (insturment cluster gets it's info.) Your best bet , take it to a qualified repair shop that has the knowledge and test equipment to diagnose this problem.
Engine Oil Pressure Gage
The instrument panel cluster (IPC) displays the engine oil pressure as determined by the engine control module (ECM). The IPC receives a serial data message from the ECM indicating the engine oil pressure. The engine oil pressure gage defaults to 0 psi (0 kPa) or below if:
• The ECM detects a malfunction in the engine oil pressure sensor circuit.
• The IPC detects a loss of serial data communications with the ECM.
For the 4.2L LL8, the ECM uses an engine oil switch that is open when the oil pressure is normal and closed when the oil pressure is low. At normal pressure, the engine oil pressure gage will display 275 kPa (40 psi). At low pressure, the gage will go to 0 kPa and the low pressure warning will be displayed in the driver information center (DIC). At high pressure, the gage will display 551 kPa (80 psi). Any values between these three values are calculated values determined by the ECM.

Voltmeter
The instrument panel cluster (IPC) displays the vehicle voltage based on the information from the body control module (BCM). The IPC uses the serial data information from the BCM to provide a voltage level indication on the voltmeter.

Can u bypass a oil sending unit

The engine oil pressure is very important without pressure internal damage will happen. The pressure sender is grounding style sender a open circuit will read max pressure on gauge and a grounded sender reads zero. unplugging it does no harm to system EXCEPT you have no indication of engine damage without it working.

I have a 1998 plymouth voyager and the insturment panel and gauges and wipers and locks stopped working how could this be fixed

you have to replace the " body control module " located under dash drivers side. and most of time they have to be reprogrammend unless you buy it new from dealer and they do it before you get it. the body control mod controls all those items and go bad alot.

2003 F-250 instrument cluster...

it sounds like you are getting a surge of voltage from your alternator/generator. Very strange.

the dealer can run a diagnostic test & pull fault codes or you can try this. If this helps, please report back & rate as fixya. Thanks. I am curious what you find as root cause. Good luck.

Instrument Cluster Self-Diagnostic Mode
To enter the instrument cluster self diagnostic mode with the engine off, depress and hold the odometer reset button. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position and hold until the gauges sweep (within five to eight seconds). Depress the reset button once to advance to each stage of the self-test.
Turn the ignition to the OFF position to exit the instrument cluster self-diagnostic mode. If no DTCs related to the concern are retrieved, proceed to the Symptom Chart to continue diagnostics.
