I don't believe that there are seperate fuses for the left and right turn sigs, The trailer lighting depends very heavily on the white grounding wire near the trailer ball hook-up. Check with a test light at the red and yellow wires while someone else flips the switch from left to right if you get power then check back at the left lamp assy. If you have no power there try grounding that assy. base with a big flathead screwdriver if it works then, you need to change out the left assy.Alsocheck and make sure your left turn lights are working on the main vehicle if not try a new flasher, I've seen this all the time where the flasher weakens and will not operate on one side but will on the other. One last thing, The brown wire is for the running lights only. Have someone stand at the rear of the trailer and, with the running lights on use the left and right turn sigs and step on the brake. If ANY of the other bulbs come on weakly at any time or cross back and forth by them selves you've got to rerun the main ground wire to the trailer. Good luck. Dana

1996 dodge ram 1500 trailer plug wiring diagram

The diagram does not show separate wires for turns, so you don't need an adapter. The left signal/brake wire is green with a red stripe. The right is green with a brown stripe. The running lights are on the black wire with a yellow stripe.

Left rear turn signal on dodge ram 1500 won't work. bulb replacement didn't help.

Just had a similar question last week, and the solution was a bad socket/bulb holder.
You might try and see if there is current in the brake light wire leading to the bulb holder.
I have used a jumper wire and a safety pin to test the wire behind the socket.
I pierced the plastic insulation of the brake light wire with the point of the safety pin, and either use a tester or even a good working bulb and a good ground wire.
Be blessed.

2003 Dodge Ram 3500 left turn signal problems / trailer

Well let me shed some light on this issue. I have the same problem. Trailer connection from truck does not have power to left turn signal and left brake light. I just got back from the dealership and $100.00 labor charge. My problem is the TIPM (Fuse Box for short) and FCM (little silver module hooked to the Fuse Box on the left hand side of the fuse box). $910.00 for the parts and Chrysler doesn't have any in stock. 4-6 weeks to maybe fill a back order. I am currently researching an alternative way to fix this issue. I will let you know.

No voltage to the left brake of trailer connector

Check the trailer connector for loose or corroded wires that come into the back of it. If the light works on the truck then you have problems with the trailer harness.

I had the same problem on 06 ram, the problem is one of the controll modules under the fuse panel under the hood on the drivers side. My trailer mechanic told me this was a common problem and dodge will only charge about 700 dollars to replace it. he solved my problem by installing a converter on the wires to the tail lights of the truck then running down to the trailer plug. it was most likely caused by a short in the trailer and dodge in their infinate wisdom failed to put a fuse between the trailer and control module. and by the way even though this is a manufacturing defect they will not warranty the module. hope this helps.

Dodge trailer wiring

Check the owners manual to be sure of the location of the trailer fuses. Most have several locations for the fuses. Other than that, look for a loose or corroded connection. Also check http://www.etrailer.com/faq-wiring.aspx.

LEFT TRAILER TURN SIGNAL DOES NOT WORK

I have seen once before that the fuse box was bad on a 2003 Dodge 3500. I had power in and nothing out. We had to replace the box. Not cheap! Hope it is simple like a loose connection though. I think I had to pull the inner fender on the drivers side to access the bottom of the fuse box. Pain in the ****, but...

LEFT TRAILER TURN SIGNAL DOES NOT WORK

I'd get a 12vdc test light if you don't have one already & start from plug, and keep probing back from there. It may be as simple as a bad connection under truck where joined into harness.
