According to GM there has been a problem with the blower resistor/relay and they have released a new style to correct this problem. If you have a friend at your local dealership, ask them to show you DOCUMENT # 2203597 if you feel you need further confirmation. The replacement part number you'll need for the new resistor is 89019088. This should correct your problem.
Testimonial: "Thank You ! Do you know where the resistor or relay is located in this car?"
Yes. It is in the HVAC box right under the glove box, just to the left of the blower motor and is held in with 2 screws. It's connector actually plugs into the blower motor.
No, I sorry. The rear one will be located on the rear HVAC box and there are two different ones depending on which RPO's you have.
1 is a 93803634 for RPO CJ2,C36 and C69. The other is a 89018536 nad it is for RPO's CJ3 and C69. They will be located right near the blower motor. If you need more clarification for the exact one, please sent me the VIN number and I will be able to tell you exact information. Kind regards, Bill.
One other thing. I have printed out 3 pictures I can email to you that will show you the exact area of the part we are talking about if you would like them. Thanks!!
Ok. I am working on the email and attached info for you right now. I will send the email as soon as I get everything together.
