This is too complicated to give in this forum. It would be better if you picked up a copy of the Haynes auto repair manual for the 2007 Peugeot diesel at your local auto parts store. The complete procedure is there.
Just from word of mouth I don't know how true this is however, I have heard that alot of European cars are voltage sensitive and all you may need is a new battery. Sounds like when the car runs the alternator will charge the battery giving you correct voltage. This may also be why its periodic due to the alternating temperatures from morning to afternoon etc, the older the battery the harder it gets to maintain amps at start up. Ya never know ifya havent tryed it.
The "C" is for comfort mode and the "S" is for sport mode. While in comfort mode the transmission will start off in second gear and switch gears at a lower rpm. In sport mode the transmission will start off in first gear and allow shifts at a higher rpm. The car will always be in one of these modes depending on which one you select.
Though the CLK may not carve up the turns,it does a decent job, but I felt it excelled in driving comfort over NJ **** roads. I do a lot of highway driving and prefer comfort plus I get up to 27mpg going nicley above 65mph.
