My 95 audi 90 is overheating with in seconds of driving it. it just started one day and now i cant drive it for more than a mile or so before it gets too hot to drive. and the coolent will run back to the resivor but wont pump into the block and all the fluid that trys to go into the block just pushes the coolent back into the resivor.
It could be a head/gasket problem, but have you tried replacing the thermostat? A closed thermostat will block the flow of water.
It sounds like you have a head gascet fault, if the water hoses are highly presurised with back pressure when car is running and you are lousing water, creamy coloured oil then these are all symptoms.
some audi's have platic water pump fins that deteriorate too this also could be a fault,
A pressure test on the cooling system should conferm what exactily is wrong.
