REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY BATTERY IS WEAK OR DEAD.YOU HAVE TO LET DEALERSHIP REPLACE KEYLESS ENTRY AND REPROGRAM IT TO UNLOCK OR LOCK DOORS.

you must reprogram your transmitters due to the fact that the memory in the module has been erased by the removal of power

try this procedure to reporgram:

1. Close all vehicle doors.

2. Insert the key into the ignition.

3. Hold down the power UNLOCK button on the driver's continue to hold down until instructed
to release in step 9.

4. Perform steps 5 through 8 in fairly rapid succession.

5. Turn the key to the ON position (as far as you can go without starting the engine).

6. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.

7. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.

8. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.

9. Release the power unlock button on the door panel. The vehicle will lock and unlock the doors automatically.

10. Hold down the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the transmitter simultaneously until the vehicle locks and unlocks.
This step may take up to 30 seconds.

11. Repeat step 10 NOW for each additional transmitter (including any existing transmitters).

12. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position in order to exit the transmitter programming mode

you should be able to have them tested at parts department at chevy dealership and I dont think they will charge ya. I may be wrong but they can test them.otherwise it could be a unit called a liftgate module is what recieves signal

You may have to car to Chevy Dealership to reprogram keyless entry.

It took me a few attempts to program a new keyless remote for my 2002 Chevy Blazer.
Insert key into ignition but don' turn it yet. While holding down the UNLOCK switch on the door, the trick is to cycle the ignition ON OFF ON OFF as quickly as possible then release the UNLOCK switch. If done correctly the door locks will cycle 1x to acknowledge. Then hold both the unlock and lock buttons down on the remote for about 15 seconds. The locks should cycle again to confirm...Hope this helps.

keyless entry was fixed by reprograming the key...

the keyless entry system is tied into the computer system and needs to reprogramed by the dealership

I had the same exact problem and fixed it by disconnecting the battery for 5 minutes. I was also having a problem with the A/C compressor not kicking in and after the battery disconnect it is working fine.
