Is the check engine light on when the engine is running ? If it is, check for trouble codes. My first guess would be a faulty throttle position sensor. The sensor tells the computer what the angle of the throttle plate is. The sensor tends to wear out just off idle where you keep your foot on the gas pedal the most. Could be a vac leak or something else too.
One of the coil packs are starting to go out. One way you can pin point it is to buy one coil pack and replace one. If it still misses keep moving the spare one to the next coil pack until you find it. If you take it somewhere to be fixed it will run about $275 for each coil pack and up from the dealer. If you do it yourself and some time cost will be $70 for a coil pack. I know cause I just went through the problem at 120,000 miles.
