Both my left and right blinkers are blinking fast, my brake lights are out but the larger brake at the top of the rear window is working.
Any advise
This is not my fix but it is the problem. My 2001 Ford Explorer sport trac left turn signal wasn't working. The flashed on the dash was flashing rapidly so I assumed bulb. Wrong. I tried all I knew to try. I finally broke down and took to ford dealership. $360 later I was told cheap part lots of labor. Ok I paid and was glad I could legally drive again. Problem. Two weeks later same problem. I took back to the dealership. ( Shawnee, Oklahoma ). I was told a different part but once again lots of labor and $360 again. I refused this time. What I found online is this is a common problem. Try changing the position of the tilt steering wheel. For my truck when I put it in the up position my turn signal worked properly. The tilt shorts the wire out. I plan to go talk to the dealership but not expecting much as they were not friendly or helpful to begin with. I hope everyone with this problem would report it as it is a Ford defect in many vehicles. It should be a recall
Fast blinker indicates a bulb has failed.
Sounds like the rear brake light bulbs are burnt out.
Try changing the left and right stop light bulbs.
It sounds like you have a bad fuse or your lights are burnt out
