1999 Ford Taurus FFV and 65K. After the car is driven for a while the right front wheel is very very hot. I found the brake got locked.
If you open the brake fluid bleeder on that caliper you should have brake fluid dripping out. If not it could be the rubber flex hose has collapsed. If fluid drips out then the caliper is sticking and should be rebuilt or replaced.
Testimonial: "In five months I've replaced the caliper twice, and the new one is only 3-days old. When I installed the new caliper I checked bleeder. looked good."
After 20 years as an auto mechanic, I've repaired a lot of this kind of problem. It sounds to me like the rubber brake hose going to the caliper has colapsed inside. the fluid pressure gets through, but the fluid cannot return to the master cylinder so the caliper does not release it's grip on the rotor. The hose is cheap and fairly easy to replace.
