Transmitter Programming Procedure
Close all the vehicle doors.
Insert the ignition key into the ignition lock cylinder.
Press and hold the door unlock switch.
While holding the door lock switch in the unlock position, cycle the ignition ON, OFF, ON, OFF.
Release the door unlock switch. The doors will lock and unlock to confirm the program mode.
Press and hold the LOCK button and the UNLOCK button simultaneously on the transmitter. After a delay of approximately 15 seconds, the doors will lock and unlock to confirm the programming of the transmitter.
Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position in order to exit the keyless entry transmitter mode.
Operate the transmitter functions in order to verify correct system operation.

Check battery and make sure the charge is good. If unsure , try a boost

Theft light on car won't start , hook a battery charger up to your car to maintain a good charge . Then turn ignition to on position , do not crank it over leave in that position for ten minutes then turn to off and repeat this cycle two more times .
After the third time turn to off and remove key from ignition then ,
reinstall key and try to start vehicle if it works you just relearned your key to the anti theft system and you gain a free lesson !!!

Check for any stored engine codes, this may give you an idea of any problems that may cause your complaint. Possible crank position sensor, cam position sensor or ignition module would cause a 'die in flight' situation.

Do you have battery power? If not, I'm not sure the key switch will unlock.

You have to have the key coded with the ignition switch at a lock smith,or the dealer.

sounds like stuck pins

insert key tap the end of key with malet untill it turns
once it turns drive to lock smith have them remove and repair the ignition cost will be 50 - 75 bucks verses dealer at 200 bucks

Yes the 2002 and 2005 are the same model and use the same lock.

2000-2005 Are all the same for anybody else needing similiar info.
