2001 Ford windstar stalling problems. After driving it for 25 minutes and go into a store for 15 minutes the car starts fine, then I drive a short distance again and when I come out of the store and start it again it stalls. Sometimes it takes 2 to 3 tries to get it started. This happens mostly in hot weather and when the car is hot. Any advice would be much appreciated.
Have your idle speed sensor cleaned, also checkd the air flow sensor located in the air cleaner housing, you best bet is to have it scanned for PCM soft codes(codes that wont turn on the check engine light on)
Testimonial: "Thank you, we will check this out when we get back to Florida in October. Thanks again."
2001 ford windstar stalls sometimes at stoplights, cleaned idle control sensor, works better, but plan to replace for under $100 for part, two bolts on top of throttle body, easy fix, also replaced throttle postion sensor for $22 easy fix, fuel economy went up 5mpg.
