Oil capacity for a 1994 GMC Jimmy SLE

It should have a 4.3 liter V-6 262 it will take a napa oil filter #21036 for a napa silverline filter or if you want the napa gold oil filter the # is 1036 it should hold about 4.5qts. of oil and 5w-30 is good all around weight of oil for it.

This engine takes about 5 quarts with filter after a hot drain, add 4 quarts and then run and top off, remember to fill the oil filter up before installing to prevent "dry" start up, u can use 5W-30 or 10W-30, either will work, in summer or hot climates use 10W-30, never use a heavier oil.
