SOURCE: where are the spark plugs located on a 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis

There are eight COPs (coil-on-plugs) to remove. Using a 7mm or 9/32" socket, remove each bolt securing each COP to the intake manifold on top of the engine. Remove all eight COPs, and the spark plugs are underneath. When replacing the spark plugs, use only the proper Ford/Motorcraft plugs, even if they cost twice as much as the aftermarket ones. You will avoid further headaches this way. Hope this helps.

Does it only change when going uphill, or under heavy acceleration? Or is it just when ever it feels like it? Generally, it's vacuum controlled and on a Ford, loss of vacuum when accelerating or pulling a grade under heavy loads can be normal, causing the air to come out of the defrost. To answer your question, the blower door is located in the dash, generally behind the radio area.

Good luck!

there is a vacuum motor that controls direction for air flow. when there is a vacuum leak, the control door defaults to the defrost vent. the motor, vacuum lines and directional control knob must be inspected. most of the time i have found that there is a vacuum line broken. purchasing a repair manual will help locate and discribe the system.

There are 2 fuse blocks in a 2000 Grand marquis, One is under the dashboard on the drivers side. There is a panel that you have to remove that is just below the steering column. The other is under the hood on the Passenger side of the car, pretty close to the Coolant overflow reservoir. The functions of all those fuses are in a diagram located in your service manual. If you need a picture, let me know, i have an 01 grand marquis and have had to replace fuses in both blocks. Hope this helps.

Sounds like ??
If the compressor is running and the system is full of freon, you may have a blend door problem under the dash. The blend door directs air flow thru the heater core and evaporator core depending on the temp setting on the dash.

Sounds more like a control valve is not working correctly.. probably stuck in one position because you should always have heat from your heater core...like when you chose fresh air or recirculated air...it switches a valve to allow the change...well from cold to heat there's a valve also that switches the vent inside dashboard
