2006 Saturn Ion 2.2L it show 0.9 lbs on a sticker under the hood.
If your system is completely empty, it should take 2 small cans or one large. You should also check to see if your system is leaking. Most systems will not need recharging often.

The remote won't ework because the problem is in the vehicle. Just for test purposes and possible remedy. Remove and clean the negative battery cable. Ensure a clean , tight connection. Then find the body ground. Yhis ground is locted usually at the top rear of the engine. .I's a snall stainless steel strap bolted to the engine and fire wall, This must olsobe clean with a good contack.
