Where is the port to do a fuel pressure test 2002 bravada

1st of all, turning over and cranking are both the same thing,,, you meant to say it would not start
if you have a preasure test port it willl be in the rail , at the begining or end, not in the hoses , some models do not have a test shradder port but if you go to autozone and for about $25 purchase a tester it comes with adapters to connect between the injection rail and the hose (after you disconnect it with the correct quick disconnect tool) it has a port on it for test purposes only not as a permanent add on

you should be getting 30-35 psi

look under hood for diagram of emmisions ,should be on back of engine it will have a green cap like ac type cap with green tag on it ,ststing fuel port. good luck hope it helps.

LOOK ON THE FUEL INJECTORS RAIL YOU SHOULD SEE A BLACK CAP THAT LOOK LIKE A TIRE AIR PRESSURE STEM REMOVE THE CAP AND FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR IS THERE

Look on the back side of the engine just to the drivers side of the distributor. You will see the two fuel lines. The test port will be on the larger line. It usually has a black plastic cap over it. You would have to test the fuel pressure on this vehicle by connecting to the line coming from the fuel filter to the fuel rail, there is no actual fuel test port on this vehicle. if you do decide to test the pressure... here is what your pressure readings should be>> Fuel Line Pressure 46-51 psi (320-350 kPa)
This actually sounds like a Fuel Pressure Regulator issue. I would recommend replacing the regulator and see how the vehicle responds after that..

By what your stating, that it starts and dies every time, It seems to be fuel related. You need to perform a fuel pressure check. You will need a pressure tester, one that would at least be able to read pressure to a maximum of 150 lbs of pressure. Although you really only need about 50-60 pounds of pressure to maintain proper fuel injector operation. There is a test port located on the fuel rail where you would conect the pressure tester. The test port is usually located on the drivers side of the engine near the rear section coming up from the firewall. Unscrew the pressure port cap if its still there and connect your tester. But also keep in mind you may have fuel pressure of some sort in the rail so be careful. While the tester is screwed to the test port you want to cycle the ignition key on and read pressure, you may want to repeat this several times. You must have at least 50 pounds of pressure, if so it should start. If you are losing pressure while your maintaining a visual check on the tester it could also be a faulty pressure regulator/fuel pump or even a rubber hose connection inside the fuel tank that connects the fuel pump to the fuel line. Bad TPS will give you a SES light. Possible low fuel pressure from bad fuel pump. Put a fuel pressure gauge on the service port close to the firewall, should stay above 50 psi when juicing the gas. Only use OEM parts on a Bravada! Try "thepartsladi" store on eBay.
