Is the anti theft light flashing if so disconnect the battery then connect and use your remote to stop the alarm if this not the issue and when you turn the key there's nothing first clean all cable connections battery power distribution and cables at the engine ground and the starter while at the starter observe the braided ground cable from the solenoid to the starter case nose (the front)it might have insulation around it slide it back to get a visual of the braided wire if that wire is broken the starter is not grounded and must be removed and a new ground put in place to start the truck also check your fuses and relay but if that braided wire is broken stop you found it and that might be the original starter in it and it's 14-15years old by the door sticker build date if you don't see that broken ground the solenoid went and a new starter is now needed it's cheaper that way and AutoZone offers a lifetime guarantee on there duralast starters you can also bring yours there and they'll test it for you for free
Battery bad, connections bad , bad neutral start switch. As last resort, starter could be bad
You may have a faulty setting between the key and it's pickup on the column.
