I have a 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 Hemi and ever since I put the new radio in when the key is out of the ignition the locks, dome lights and head lights wont work, but all work when the key is in and on the "on" position. This wasn't a problem before the radio. I tried disconnecting the battery for a hour, took the radio out and disconnected the battery again and its still doing it. Any help please Thank you Also the remote that is factory to unlock the truck doesn't work either. The truck has a remote start but i don't see how this would mess yup from the radio ?
Well one of two problems the radio if a aftermarket one was installed could be wired wrong not allowing communication to the module or ASD relay. If it was a stock radio that you installed then the radio needs to be programed to your truck. the remote start could cause this problem but i would rule it out seeing how it started after you changed radios
Sounds like you cut into one of the wires that that supply power when the key is off....you may need to get a wiring diagram for the truck and trace the wires down.
Cutting into the wrong wires is not uncommon in todays newer cars.
