Water in oil makes the oil go grey / milky or white . Check the cooling system by a pressure test and if it is holding then it will not be water in the oil.. If you are referring to transmission oil then the tan colour indicates burnt oil, and must be replaced. Water in that oil will also be a white cherry/ milky colour.
The Change Oil reminder needs to be reset. This done as follows; 1. Turn key to RUN position, do not start engine 2. Fully depress and release the accelerator pedal three times within 5 seconds 3. Turn key to LOCK position.

Check oil level via dipstick , if it is full check oil filter is not blocked (You need to have a mechanical knowledge to do this ) if both ok then oil pump is on its way out or there is a blockage in the engine oilways
