7 Way - RV Trailers, Horse and Utility Trailers
6 Way - Horse, Stock and Utility
4 Way - Utility Trailers

Columns are Color, Function, Mark on the plug.

Seven wire Trailer plugs
:

Horse, stock or utility trailers:
White = Ground - 1
Blue = Electric Brakes - 2
Brown = Tail and clearance lights - 3
Black = Battery, aux power - 4
Yellow = Left turn/Brake - 5
Green = Right turn Brake - 6
Orange or Purple (not both) = Auxilliary or Reverse - 7

Recreational Vehicle:
White = Ground - 1
Blue = Electric Brakes - 2
Green = Tail and clearance lights - 3
Black = Battery, aux power - 4
Red = Left turn/Brake - 5
Brown = Right turn Brake - 6
Yellow = Auxilliary or Reverse - 7


Six wire trailer plugs:

Horse, stock or utility trailers:
White = Ground - GD
Yellow = Left turn/Brake -LT
Green = Right turn Brake -RT
Brown = Tail and clearance lights - TM
Red or Black (not both) = Battery, aux power - A
Blue = Electric Brakes - S

Recreational Vehicle: (color, use, plug mark)
White = Ground - GD
Brown = Right turn Brake - RT
Green = Tail and clearance lights -TM
Black = Battery, aux power - A
Red = Left turn/Brake - LT

Four wire plugs:
White = Ground

Ground should be 10ga.

I have a T25 Transporter 1990 ,front wipers won`t

It sounds like the park switch inside the wiper motor has failed or a bad contact. If you can get to the motor, remove the plate/cover and you should see a micro switch, check it for broken wires or clean contacts. If you dont feel comfortable doing this, then take the car to an auto electrician, he should be able to sort it.

Wiring for a towbar on a, vw bora

The following is the wiring for your towbar
Check the inside of the socket and you will find each of the 7 pins are numbered 1 - 7.
No 1 Yellow Wire. Left side Flasher
No 2 Blue Wire. Fog Light.
No 3 White Wire.. Earth.
No 4 Green Wire. Right side Flasher
No 5 Brown Wire. Left side Park Light.
No 6 Red Wire. Brake Lights.
No 7 Centre Pin. Black Wire. Right Side Parh Light.

the best way to wire it is to get a tail gate board off a trailer and plug it in to the towbar then wire red to stop n tail lights green or yellow to the earth what other orange or brown to indicator sum wires may differ in colur wat colour wires do u have on the towbar

Hi, If you have a towbar fitted this could be a wiring problem with the towbar socket wiring. If no towbar fitted this would need to be experienced to diagnose further.

I need to wire a towbar to my lt 28 but have no wiring info

Trailer socket pin1 (yellow) to left hand indicator (Black/White) at L/H Lamp, Pin2 (blue) to fog (Grey/White) at R/H Lamp, Pin3 (white) to Chassis Earth, Pin4 (green) to right hand indicator (Black/Green) at R/H Lamp, Pin5 (brown) to right hand side light (Grey/Red) at R/H Lamp, Pin6 (red) to brake (Black/Red) at either Rear Lamp, and finally Pin7 (black) to left hand side light (Grey/Black) at L/H Lamp.
