You must remove the speedo cluster. Bulb inside of it.

SOURCE: High-beam indicator does not work

Sorry but the gauges have to be removed to replace the globe. Not the whole dash though, just the gauge surround and gauges only have to be pulled out far enough to get your hand in to change the globe.Good luck

Your switch must be working since your indicator is telling you when the high beams are on, so my guess is that your bulbs are faulty. The high beam part. They probably burnt out one at a time, so you didn't notice until the second one went. Change your bulbs, and see if that solves it. If not, let me know.

MY HIGH BEAM LIGHT IN DASH DOES NOT WORK JEEP tJ

SOURCE: 2005 Ford Focus ZX3 SES, the blue high beam

It sounds like you are confused about how your headlamp system is supposed to work. The DRL does not run on the High beam circuit, it runs on the low beam circuit. The fog lamps are supposed operate with the park lamps and also with the low beams, not the high beams. From your description, I would say that your system is operating as designed and you are having trouble telling High from Low. (Don't feel bad, that is why high beam indicators were invented in the first place.)

High beams not working on mercury marquis

you have a bad wire .....had the same problem with mine.what i did was took out the turn signal /combination switch from the left side of the steering column and put a test light to each of the wires to see which one went on and off when using the high /low beam switch.then followed the same color coded wire down near the bottom of the steering column and spliced a new piece of wire into it.then ran the wire through the firewall (just happened to have one already there above the harness that goes through the firewall).if you need to drill small hole for new wire make sure you feed a half inch of small vacuum hose into the hole before you run the wire through.this will prevent a short from happening.then go under the hood on the driver's side and between the master cylinder and the fender you will see a brown colored plug about 3 inches long and about 1 inch around.tap the new wire into the green wire and then try your high / low beam.it should be working fine.haven't had a problem with mine since.....good luck , DAVE B.

DASH LIGHT FOR HIGH BEAM STUCK ON EVEN WITH CAR OFF?

Looks like the dimmer switch is built into the combo turn signal wiper switch on the column.
I would unplug that switch and see if the indicator light goes off.
If it does the problem may be inside the combo switch.

2004 grand marquis headlights won't come on automatically or manually. sometimes they come on - sometimes not. putting them on high beams does not help. however - I can HOLD the high beam switch forward...

Just had my 2004 Grand Marquis HL fixed. They would go off after less then 5 mins and then come back on in less than 5 mins. Then repeat. ONLY The high beam Hold switch would work. It was the LCM (Light Control Module) found behind the Glove Box. $700 for the Dealer to fix.
15 Min job for anyone who can figure out
how to remove the Module.
