Remove your positive lead from the battery. Climb under the vehicle and remove the 3 wires attached to the starter, remove the 2 bolts holding the starter in place, install new starter in reverse order.
1. Disconnect the positive lead on your battery.
2. Disconnect all the leads on the starter.
3. Unbolt and pull the starter out.
Hope,
matt

Just changed a starter in a 94 S10 4x4. The only way to remove the starter was to take the passenger side exhaust manifold off and bring the starter out that way. Installation the same in reverse. Hope this helps. Don
