When I start ignition for my kia sorento diesel engine, engine will clank but will not start. Why?
Could be you have a few bad glow plugs or a relay for them or a bad glow plug controler. the glow plugs are basicly a direct short that creates heat that warms the air in the cylinder to aid initial start.they can be checked wiyh an ohm meter. remove the wire and place one lead on the wire connecter of the plug the other to a good ground.you should have good connectivity. if not replace the plug

can we push-start a 2003 2.5 crdi lx sorento diesel automatic ?
I have Kia Sorento 2008 2.5 diesel automatic car was driving fine but just for while then it wil loose power and smoke badly. So we put new turbo on, New diesel pump was running grate but still smoked. So we had the engine done seems like oil rings was done. Timing was done as well. Car started for about 15sec and from there cranks but wound start. So the next step was crank sensor and cam sensor did that too still crank but don't start. I don't know anymore and honestly broke need help plz.
