SOURCE: CODE 042 ON A VOLVO S60

Brake lights and cruise control are not set properly.
Easy check - are your brake lights coming on with just the usual light touch of the pedal? If not, then the microswitch that senses that your foot is on the brake needs to be adjusted or replaced.

SOURCE: Make is a volvo s60 D5, with a fault code 075 it

If the code is P0075, it means: 'Intake Valve Control Solenoid Circuit, Open'. This will affect the engine power. I suggest you to get the car serviced in authorized Volvo-garage and mention the fault.

SOURCE: Error code EVAP Emission Leak (Small) on 2002

a loose gas cap or a bad seal on the cap can possibly cause this.

Testimonial: "I found two small hoses that were disconnected from the back of the box that the air filter goes in. Reconnected them and took and had the code reset. We'll see if that fixes it... If not will replace the gas cap next, noticed some very small cracks in the seal. "

Error codes P0171 and P0128. I put fuel injector cleaner in the gas tank but the engine light is still on. Any suggestions?

P0171 is a lean code indicating more air than fuel being burned in the engine. P0128 is refering to the coolant temperature being below operating temperature. Usually this is caused by a defective thermostat. There are many reasons for a lean code to develop. This code may be due to the thermostat not operating correctly. Have the thermostat replaced and clear the codes to see if P0171 returns. If it does, further diagnostics will be required

Fault code P1620

P1620 code is a thermostat error. it's a picky sensor, and unless you notice anything wrong (like a rough idle, or problems with the operating temperature) I'd ignore it. If you are having issues you may need to replace the MAF sensor located in the thermostat on top of the engine

There could be a hundred causes for a check engine light. First step is to hook up a computer scan tool and see what codes the computer has. The next step depends on the codes.

P0172 and P0128 Error Code 2003 Trailblazer 4WD

PO172 means that an oxygen sensor in bank 1 detected a rich condition (too little oxygen in the exhaust). I would replace the thermostat first. The computer could be injecting too much fuel because it thinks it never gets to operating temperature. That may keep the light off.
