Were two different types of throttle position sensors used on 1999 s70 volvos?

At the rear of the cylinder head on the exhaust side camshaft.

Throttle position sensor is part of the throttle body assembly. It is not sold as a separate part. You need to replace the throttle assembly. Remove the intake tube, remove the 4 bolts and disconnect the electrical plug. It will need to be programmed by someone withe the Volvo Vida software.

It is going to be on the throttle body,it will be a rotational type sensor,so it will be inline with the throttle plate shaft.

Have the throttle positioning sensor checked for that sounds like the problem you are having with yours

try this b4 taking things apart... redexe/wynns fuel additive and using high octane fuel the computer will adjust running accordingly...

try adjusting your throttle wire on the throttle body.

Sounds like a fuel filter problem, replace your fuel filter. Call an auto parts supply store for the location of the filter

Its on the throttle body assemly.Follow the accelerater cable to the throttle body and the tps (throttle position switch) should be bolted to the end of the throttle shaft.
