First I suggest a full tune up, including air and fuel filters. If you have already taken care of this, then you maybe overloading or flooding your engine with fuel. If the problem seems worse when you first start the car in the morning and gets slightly better as it warms up then you may have a bad coolant temperature sensor. This is about a $30 part. This sensor adjusts the amount of fuel pumped through your injectors to make up for cold temps much like choking an older vehicle. If it goes out, it sends the ECM a signal that the temp is negative 27 f and so it dumps all the fuel it can on the fire to compensate. A good indicator of this would be poor fuel milage, with this car you should be getting between 27 and 32 mpg. Most mechanics charge about 60 to 90 bucks to change this part.

its the fuel pump...........it will go completely out soon therefore your car will not start......replace it and you engine will not bog down.........you might also need a tune up.....if you havent had one in the past couple of years then you need it........
