03 HYUNDAI ACCENT. NO CRANK. NO STEREO. NO CLOCK. THE SHIFT INTERLOCK WORKS. WHEN THE KEY IS ON ALL ACCESSORIES BUT THE STEREO WORK. WHEN YOU TURN THE KEY FROM ON TO START YOU HEAR A RELAY CLICK, BUT NOTHING UNDER THE HOOD HAPPENS AT ALL. HELP!
I think that your battery is dead. Try jump starting the car. Be careful that you hook the jumper cables correctly, red to positive[the + on the battery] black to negative[the- on the battery].
When you say the battery is fine, does that mean you've had it tested or replaced?
Please don't think I'm trying to call you an idiot. I'm just trying to work with the info I have. It would be unusual in a car as young as this but have you checked the engine ground?
I agree with you that it's probably not an ignition problem. I also agree that the hope of a ground problem would be great. The only things I can think of that you haven't mentioned but don't meet all of the problems are the following: the security system could be causing the problem
I
Internal damage of the battery cables, if the starter will jump, positive cable
Internal damage of the negative cable causing the ground
I'm sorry but that's all I can think of now It seems you've covered the bases I would try to hit. Do me a favor and let me know what it turns out to be. You may have better luck if you upgrade the service on this site and have a dialog with one of the experts available here. Good Luck

Batt is FINE!
The battery has been REPLACED WITH A BRAND NEW ONE. this is not a battery issue. I'm not an idiot. I would not come on here asking for help if it were that simple. I have checked EVERY FUSEABLE LINK AND FUSE UNDERHOOD. i have checked every relay under hood. all work. I have checked the fuse panel (kick) on the left side of the passenger compartment, all fueses are fine. I have been up all night looking at wiring diagrams from the dealer web site. I cannot find a single thing, aside from IGN (30 amp link - underhood) that controls both STARTING, as well as the CLOCK AND STEREO. and this circuit has power, and the link is good. i'm lost.
I understand what you are saying. I'm sorry. Yes, I have checked the grounds. I was hoping, very much, that it was a ground problem but it's not. I removed the bolts, wire brushed all the ends (both sides, bolts, and where they went in) then cleaned with electric parts cleaner and replaced. nothing. :( the wipers work, washers, rear defroster, heated seats, turn signals, headlights, tail lights... just not the stereo, clock, blower motor and it doesnt try to turn over... click of a relay but dead silent aside from. jumping the starter turns it.... i think it has to be something that runs, grounds (if i missed), ties in, etc. the start relay, the stereo the clock and the blower motor. given that the power outlet dims and the chimes stop (key chime) when I try to crank it, and the ses light goes off like always... i think it's not an ignition problem.
