You Have To Start Again There Is Something Not Connected ,
You Left A Wire Or Plug Out ,A Small Earth Wire Might Be Screwed On That Got Pulled Off.

A melted connector is a sign of current overload. Perform a current draw test on the motor.

On GM inline engines,cylinder #1 is the one closest to the front(pulley)end of the engine. If you pulled the wires off the distributor/coil pack,and don't know where they go,put one wire one at a time and crank it.If it doesn't backfire,repeat until it starts.(this is only easy on 4 cylinder or smaller engines)

the plugs should be changed about every 35,000 to 40,000 kil regardless of what the manufacture says as they extend maintence kil to look good to the public as their cars needing less expense to own.they don`t care if the public has to have heads pulled to repair damaged heads from siezed plugs.

Actually a fuel pump can work,but the injectors are still being blocked from getting fuel.I'd talk to FORD.They've probably seen this a hundred times.I had it happen once on my focus,but we never pinpointed the problem. don-ohio

Check and make sure it's locking down,and isn't out of adjustment at the latch. don-ohio

try moving cable while pressing the swiches until it woks, had the same problem, just move the plug and cable until it works
