oxygen sensors ( O2S) are located after the cat converter/s
heated oxygen sensors (HO2S) are located in the exhaust manifold/s before the cat converters
so on a 4cyl/in line 6 cyl engine --1 of each
on a v6/v8 --2 of each
depending on the engine make
v8 and v6 have 2 oxygen sensors( O2S) , one after each cat converter with 2 wires and 2 heated oxygen sensors ( HO2S) in the exhaust manifold/ pipe before the cat converter with 4 wires each
6 cyl and 4 cyl engines have one oxygen sensor after that cat converter and one heated oxygen sensor before the cat converter
Try switching the ASD Relay for another relay in the Fuse Box in the Engine Compartment. If the ASD Relay fails it cancels the power to the Hall Effect & Fuel Pump.
If that doesn't change anything, check the wiring harness that travels down the left wheelwell for damage, It actually goes outside of the engine compartment, into the wheelwell where it can be damaged by rocks, road debris or a tire (if you've flexed the suspension, or had the truck off road). If the wiring there checks out, it leaves one other thing.
The Hall Effect Sensor inside the Distributor.
check your catalytic converter for clogged up.
disconnect the exhaust pipe before the cat and run the engine to see if it still cut off.
if it run better, then that's the problem
replace the air filter, pcv valve and spark plugs if over 60 k and the wires are original replace dist cap rotor and wires also then clean the throttle bore spotless with cab cleaner and a rag scan for any codes and sensors out of range there is no fuel filter (it is part of the fuel pump)
yes
how about a do it yourself smoke kit for testing for leaks I didn't see any visualy
Was the problem before you replaced the parts?
