The turn signals on my 2002 alero work only sometimes

The left/right turn signals on my 2002 alero sometimes fail to signal. Somedays they work and others days the signals do not come on. All the other lights work fine. My cigerette lighter hasn't worked in over three years. That's OK because I don't smoke but now I need it for my charger.

All this runs though the hazzard button in the dash. The light in it gets hot and eventually shorts the system. It is fairly easy to replace if you have small hands. I think the new button is around $20. This happened to my alero and also my moms alero. Solved the problem on both.

Fuse is most likely blown for lighter, cjk your owners manual for where an dwhich fuse. the turn signal switch is likely bad. if it wont signal, jiggle the lever, if it works then, have it repalced.

I have a 2002 Park Avenue my turn signals do not work my flashers work

gmlogoflat.gifService Information

Turn Signal/Cornering Lamps
The HZDT/SIG fuse in the fuse block - underhood - left supplies battery positive voltage to the turn signal/hazard flasher module and have ground at G202. The turn signal lamps may only be activated with the ignition switch in the ON or ACCY position. The T/SIG fuse in the fuse block - underhood - left supplies battery positive voltage to the turn signal switch. When the turn signal switch is placed in either the left or right position, current flow is from the turn signal switch assembly to the turn signal/hazard flasher module. The turn signal/hazard flasher module then sends an on-off voltage signal to either the left or right turn signals and their instrument cluster (IPC) indicator. When the hazard switch is pressed, all the turn signal lamps will flash including both IPC turn signal indicators. The left turn signals have ground at G106, G400 and at G402. The right turn signals have ground at G105 and G400. The turn signal switch supplies battery positive voltage to the cornering lamps, the left cornering lamp has ground at G105 and the right cornering lamp has ground at G106.

2002 dodge durango left turn signal works right turn signal does not

have you checked the bulbs front and back. to see if they work, bulb check. then it sounds like you might have a bad signal flasher that only works the left side and not the right side. or if a bulb at the front or the rear gets bright but not the opposite bulb on the same side then you may just have a bad bulb or socket or power to the socket when doing the bulb check.

Right turn signals work but left signals don't work

Front right and rear right are on a different circuit than the left front an left rear. Locate the Flasher control module behind dash. With key in RUN position check for pulsing battery voltage on the Green/white wire coming out of the flasher control module electrical connector. If no battery voltage, check for battery voltage coming into the flasher from the turn signal switch on the white/red wire. Left turn input is on the white/black wire. If not battery voltage on white/red, but voltage on white/black when turning left, then the turn signal switch is bad
