Alternator may have failed and your battery finally was discharged enough while driving that it could not provide enough power to keep electronics fed the minimum amount of powerthey need to function properly including your engines power needs as well.

SOURCE: 2002 Hyundai Accent lost power

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Offhand, definitely an electrical issue. Some ideas to check, consider and/or explore:

  • IGN switch - check for loose, corroded or heating connections. To test, under normal usage of the vehicle, should feel warm but not overly hot. If so, then possibly loose connection;
  • fuse/relay box - check for loose, corroded or burned terminals, holders, clips and connectors/pins. Use an electrical contact cleaner and spray. It may also be necessary to scrape to remove burnt marks/corrosion;
  • fusible link - the battery would have 2 wires connected to the + terminal. The big wire goes to the starter, the smaller of the two is the electrical systems main wire. This normally goes to the fuse/relay box. Check for frayed ends, loose connection, corroded terminals. In some instances instead of being at the battery's + terminal, it is connected to the end of the big cable down at the starter motor.
  • ALL connectors with big wires - these carry the main +12 either as always ON, ACC or IGN. If a connector has a wire bigger than the others, check them. It may be necessary to disconnect to enable you access to the inside pins/terminals. Scrape them clean.
Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa.

SOURCE: driving and car died and now wont start it has power and turns over just wont start

You need to isolate the problem. If it starts when you spray carb cleaner into the throttle body while cranking then problem is in fuel system.(pump, pump relay, filter or fuse) If not, then look into ignition system. Use any manual to get specific testing instructions and do not buy anything till you verify by testing that you really need that part or it can get unnecessarily expensive.
If you need more info on anything, just ask, but at the point you are at, careful testing will tell you far more than anyone here can tell you.

SOURCE: 2006 Hyundai Sonata: Wet road causes power steering failure

Ok, the high pitch sound is your idle pulley bearings going bad. The splash of water is exactly that, the belt gets wet and slips. Definitely a pully, more than likely the idler pully.

1st try cleaning the battery cables with a post and cable cleaner, also test the battery it may have an internal open. Also check the negative battery cable at the engine attachment, make sure it is tight and clean.

My dashboard and gauges keep flickering on and off

sound like you have a lose connection it could be the cables on to the dash or the socket it fits to. you would need to remove the dash and clean the connection and re fit it. if you push on the dash does it stop. ? just check this first as some times its just a tiny amount of play in the connections that's the problem .

The airbag dash light comes on and off while driving down the road. Does this mean the airbag can deploy?

An airbag is not likely to falsely deploy. Whenever the light is on it means the airbag system is disabled. However it is never safe driving a vehicle with a malfunctioning airbag system.

Electrical issues with a 1997 Subaru Outback

I believe I can help with the clicking. The parking lights should be flashing Also. Whenever power is lost to the system IE the battery removed, The factory anti theft comes on. It is a small 4" x4" box hooked by steering column under dash. It has a red button you push for a few secounds and that should stop the clicking and flashing.
