Where is the inertia fuel cutoff switch in a 2002 Nissan Primera? I recently got into an accident where I crashed my back passenger door into a light pole and wasn't able to start it again afterwards although it shouldn't have damaged any circuitry.

What could be preventing the car from starting then? It couldn't have damaged anything else other than the car door

SOURCE: 05 Ford Ranger stopped running and would not re-start

If it happens again or just won't start without holding down or just pushing the fuel shutoff (inertia) switch, than you will probably need to replace the switch. I made the mistake of going to pep boys first and they charged me $800 to replace a fuel pump that I didn't need, so don't do that. I had my mechanic move this intertia switch that is in a bad place inside the case below the glove box to the right. That is where the fuse box is. That way it is protected.

I just figured out what happened with mine. Whenever my 6'4" friend was in the passenger seat, I would have those problems and my truck wouldn't start. It was because he was kicking it with his foot.

So if you have the problem again, to get home, you can stick a paperclip in it, or have a friend hold down the switch. (Be sure and take the paper clip out, that is for emergencies only, because it keeps the pump running). Go to your Ford dealership and buy the inertia swich package. Mine was like $50. It has instructions on how to install it and where to put it, or just have your mechanic install it for $100, like I did.

SOURCE: Can you remove an inertia fuel cutoff switch on a 06 ranger?

Who cares if it is a safety system? my 05 won't even make it out of the driveway without the thing going off and killing my truck. All because I hit a pothole. If you know how, please tell us. I took it into the shop and the mechanic got 2 new switches from Ford and neither one fit. So either I am going to have spend another $1000 dollars because you have a moral stick up your you know what, or you could help us out.

SOURCE: nissan primera loses power when driving. I switch

Nissan announces recall of 747,000 trucks, SUVs in U.S. - Oct. 28, 2010. Nissan had a problem with defective relays. Faulty relays in the engine control module in Nissan vehicles cause engine performance issues including rough idle, engine stalling or inability to start vehicle. Call your local dealer and see if your vehicle is under this recall, you will need to supply your VIN number. If so, they will repair the problem at no cost.
Good luck, i hope this helps.

I need to find where a kill disable switch was placed on my 2006 Lincoln zephyr and I need to know how to disable it .

It's in the front passenger kick panel. It's called an inertia fuel cutoff switch. Get a wiring diagram and bypass it at your own risk. Get in an accident and the fuel pump will keep running.

1994 GMC Topkick not getting power from the fuel pump. Where is the fuel pump relay located?

Before going there, check your INERTIA SWITCH (INTERTIAL CUTOFF SWITCH). A small accident or a sharp bump can cause the cutoff switch to trip. The switch is located adjacent to the passenger side rear shock tower, and there is a pushbutton to reset (on most Topkick tucks). Carbureted Topkick trucks do not have cutoff switches, and some custom trucks have the inertia switch relocated.

2005 JAGUAR S TYPE TURNS OVER BUT WONT START AFTER ACCIDENT DOES IT HAVE FUEL CUTOFF SWITCH AND WHERE IS IT LOCATED

You likely tripped the Fuel Shut-Off Inertia Switch.
The inertia switch is located behind the trim on the right-hand
side of the vehicle, forward of the front door post, below the
fascia. Pull open the small panel in the trim to reset the switch.
Resetting the switch
CAUTION !!!:
To avoid the possibility of fire or personal injury, do not
reset the inertia switch if you see or smell fuel.
If no fuel leak is apparent, reset the inertia switch as follows:
Press the button!
If the switch was activated by the accident, you should feel it "click" when you reset it by pushing it.

Happy Motoring!

No electric to fuel pump

Look in your trunk usually on the Drivers side for several switches. The switch you need to reset is called an Inertia switch and it is usually near the air-ride switch cutoff.

It is common for the Inertia switch to activate with an impact of the right frequency. The purpose of this switch is to kill the fuel in event of an accident, but sometimes closing the trunklid or a door can trigger it.

Where is fuel cut off switch on a 2000 model s type jag?

This switch only trips off in a 3G or greater crash.
The inertia/fuel pump cutoff switch is located on the passenger side front on the inside. Open the door and get down and look to your Right. it will be to the right of where the passenger would put his/her feet. There's a plastic piece of trim that will look like it has a little plastic piece much like where the tow hooks are. Remove that piece of plastic and push the switch in.
