SOURCE: 95 geo prizm hamonic balancer belt pulley

Wow!!! I don't think I would put that much faith in gorilla glue. I had the same problem and had to replace the hb pully. My belt ended up slipping and jumped a few teeth causing the car to be badly out of time. Fix it before that happens.

You may need an impact gun. If loctite was used, you will need a gun.

you can put a breaker bar and socket on the bolt and unplug a) the injectors or b) the coils so it wont start and crank it over like 2 times put the breaker bar on the pulley with the handle of the breaker bar touching the ground and u crank it and it'll break free

2006 Tucson 2.0 16V. When starting the engine, why does it it make a tapping noise for about 3 seconds?

Engine has hydraulic lifters. 1. Seals are wearing and oil is draining out while sitting. 2. oil is dirty and needs changed. 3. oil is low. 4. engine has sludge build up. Try "pass or don't pay" engine cleaner for smog test additive and follow cleaner directions.

Transmission filter on 2006 Hyundai Tucson need to be changed do you have to change filter

It's a good idea. The filter keeps particles from the clutch plates from entering the valve body. The damaged valve body is expensive.

If my engine overheats from a snapped serpentine belt, what damage could I have incurred?

If the temperature gauge didnt reach red your engine is fine. If the temperature went red and then down while driving you have had a boiling coolant system. Then you may still be fine but also have a risk of a blown head gasket and maybe also a warped and/ or cracked cylinder head. Refill coolant when cooled down. If the system keeps creating bubbles in the radiator or the expansion tank you have an internal leak and need to take check your head:)

Where is the thermostat on a 2006 hyundai tucson?

Big black tube from your engine, to your radiator.... close to the engine. The thermostat is going to look like an ovular coupling with two bolts 180 degrees from each other. Very easy and inexpensive to replace.

How to change the alternator in my 2005 Hyundia Tucson? Can not get the bottom bolt out. What do I remove to get at it.

On the Tucson it is quite easy..... have changed 2 on my 2005 Tucson.....do it in this sequence and you shouldn't have any problems 1st disconnect both cables on the battery then do it 2nd remove serpentine belt... 3rd jack up the car at least where the tire is at least 4 inches off the ground.. 4th remove tire.. 5th remove inner splash guard.... 6th remove brake riser bracket... (2 bolts)... 7th remove upper bolt on alt... 8th remove upper alt bracket (2 bolts)....9th this is the hard one remove the lower bolt on the alt.... the bolt cannot be removed the lower mount actually drops into the mount.... it lifts up.... disconnect both cables one snaps in the other bolts on reverse the order and you can have it done in less than 2 hrs total time

How often do I have to change the timing belt

On the 2L (4 cylinder) engine it is recommended to inspect the belt at 37200 miles and replace the belt at 56000 miles.

On the 2.7L (V6) it is recommended to replace the belt at 60000 miles.

And, both these engines are interference engines (meaning if they break a belt, pistons hit and bend valves) which is not a pretty sight...
