clean and recharge your cold air filter, if you never had it cleaned, you can buy the recharge kit for your cold air filter, follow the instructions, if that doesn't work check your mass air flow sensor, have your mechanic clean it and test it.

That is correct, the air blend door actuator. "flapper valve" may need to be replaced or cleaned and free from binding up. Good luck and hope this helps. If there is an Auto Zone in your area, they can order the part you need and give you the step by step instructions to removing the old actuator and replacing it if it's damaged. Good luck and keep me posted, be glad to help.

Where is egr valve on 04 titan

The EGR valve is a device that reduces the emissions of the engine by recirculating some of the exhaust gas back into the intake manifold. The EGR valve is located in the engine compartment, near the firewall on the driver's side. It is attached to a metal pipe that connects to the exhaust manifold. To access the EGR valve, you will need to remove the air intake hose, the throttle body, and the EGR tube.

Where is the egr valve in a buick le sabre located?

The EGR Valve on this 3.8 L engine should be in front of the throttle body on the drivers side of the engine just to the right of the front valve cover. If you locate where the intake tube/duct attaches to the throttle body and then move just a few inches toward the front of the car it should sit right in that spot. It will have two bolts attaching it to the intake/tube. Hope you find it!!

Manual for replacing a EGR valve.

This is a common problem with the 104 engine. I'm assuming it is a c 280. First you need to check a couple of things. Below your intake manifold there is a source vac. line running to a switchover valve located under the plastic cover on your front cam cover. that switch over valve operates your 2ndary air inj. and egr pipes. The codes you have are saying that these 2 systems are not operating. If the source is good take of the plastic cover on your valve cover(held in by 5mm. allen head bolts). the 2 vac lines running under that trough are running to your egr and your 2ndary inj. the 1st is the air inj. the rear one is your e.g.r. valve. If these systems just plain were not operating it would not cause your car to run poorly cold unless there was a vac. leak. Take a vac. pump and apply press. to your e.g.r. valve with engine running and you should notice a rough run when vac. is applied. The 2ndary air inj. is more complicated to test because there is more involved. Fixing this vac. leak will help get your adaptations under control and your vehicle will run a lot better

EGR System

the egr valve is located facing the driver side so if you are standing on the driver side and looking in at the engine then you would be looking towards it.Now locate the black plastic cover that says 5.4 or 4.6 on top of the engine, and its just below that cover---its round and black with a hose hooking to the center of it.and it has a big metal hose hooked to the side of it that hooks to the exhaust..sometimes the holes inside the intake gets plugged with carbon but the egr valve is still good and will have a code.if its over 100,000 then its probably carbon/oil build-up in the intake.

My 2000 Saturn failed inspection, EGR valve.

I have the same car, but haven't had this problem (yet), I've had others (I believe it to be the infamous intake gasket fold), but this was on the list of things to check.

Yes, you can do this yourself. The EGR is on the driver side, mounted on the intake underneath the air intake line. You might just need to clean it up a little though with some carburetor cleaner, a toothbrush, and by using a torxx wrench to gently move the pintle up and down while turning it left to right. If it gets stuck when you move it (doesn't pop back down), then you definetly have been having trouble with it...just tap it on the side with a wrench and it'll pop out. Repeat until it moves easily.

To remove the EGR:
1. remove the air intake line by loosening the hose clamps on intake manifold and the air filter box. Also remove the other hose running from the valve cover to the air intake.
2. disconnect the electrical cable from the top by pulling the tab out and pulling the cable up
3. Use a 10 mm socket and and extension bar (at least 4") to loosen the two bolts holding the valve on.

It takes about 10 minutes, 20 max to do, and is far cheaper then spending $180 for a new valve!
