Theres a knocking /ticking sound on right side of 04 ram 1500

If you have not been too good about doing oil changes clogged lifters is very possible. There are many products to flush your oil, but what I prefer is to change your oil and filter , put in 1 quart of marvel mystery oil in place of one qt of oil, run for about 100 miles then change oil and filter again

I have a 2008 a4 audi, it uses 1 qt of oil between changes, is this normal

it is within factory specs to burn more than a quart of oil within 2500 miles it is also common with oil changes are done at small and quick oil change places that the oil is not filled to the max level making it look like it burns more than it does and not using synthetic oil as required asl makes a difference

I have a 03 Dodge Ram 2500 Hemi 4X4 that is making a very loud knocking sound in the frontend when I turn left, or right.

check the cv axles at the front differential. inner joints get loose on the splines and cause a knocking noise.

2004 Doge Ram 2500 5.7 Hemi 190K mile had oil pressure gauge drop to ZERO and check gauges light come on and engine shut down.. Check oil 1 guart low, add oil. let cool. crank up, good gauges drove home 45...

If the valve lifters are quiet you most likely have oil pressure even with gauge showing "0".Sounds like the oil pressure switch going bad.I would try that first.

How much oil usage is normal?

1 quart every 2000 miles. Not all cars are created equal. The same model may burn alot less or even more.

2004 ram 1500 with 5.7 hemi using 1 quart every 3,000 miles

Slide a large piece of cardboard under the truck after driving for ten minutes note in which area directly above the spot on the cardboard the oil is coming from then get under the vehicle with a drop light to look for the origin of the leak, if no leak is detected then it may be the engine is burning oil this could either be valve stem seals or broke or worn oil rings.

06 dodge ram hemi engine knock at idle from bottom of engine

Sometimes a valve lifter will stick and cause a ticking it is possible that a valve lifter has lost its prime or it might be that the oil is too thin. Wthout more info my bet would be a lifter
