First try changing the fuel filter. It is extremely easy and costs about 12 dollars at Wal-mart. If that doesn't work than try changing the fuel pump itself. Little more costly but still pretty simple to do.

Most likely is the power steering pump. There is also a revised flow control valve that threads into the back of the pump and a revised steering gear to address a lack of steering assist that could occur if the brakes are applied and turning the steering wheel with the vehicle stopped or during parking lot type maneuvers.

When your truck is shifting like you mentioned you need to check the battery cables. Better yet just replace the cables. Even a small amount of corrosion can cause a break down in the flow of current to the trans computer and cause erratic shifting. New cables should fix you right up. If this does not take care you need to start looking into "noise" from the alternator wire or other electrical interferrence. Another possible solution is to install a Hapi Box which clears interferrence in the wire from the TPS to the trans computer. It worked on my '02 until the cables corroded. I stripped back about 6" and found a mess in there. Good luck. (oh, Dodge will seel you a new trans to fix this problem. Be ware.)

Check wheel balance,
check steering linkages for loosness - such as tie rod ends, steering rack linkages etc,
check driveline for worn/loose joints and bearings.

your brake calipers are stuck! replace the brake calpiers and won't hurt to replace the hoses at the same time.
