Hi Venessa A good car polish and plenty of elbow grease will clean up lightly tarnished head lamps. If it passed the MOT last year I would not feel they are too bad so if she has some car polish at hand I would try that first. If she has to buy polish then it might be worth purchasing a headlight cleaning kit instead most good car accessory shops would stock I'm sure it would cost some what less than 95 pounds, whatever the cost of course she would have to provide the labour to clean her lights. She will need to weigh up whether its worth the hassle or just pay someone to do it and get her MOT. good luck

NORMALLY THE ISSUE IS WITH THE OUTSIDE OF THE PLASTIC COVER. THEY CAN BE CLEANED WITH HEADLIGHT CLEANING KITS FROM ANY PARTS STORE.IF THE PROBLEM IS REALLY ON THE INSIDE THEN REPLACEMENT IS NEEDED

If there not on the balancer) it may not have any,only it should T.D,C mark,most car,s are timed by the computer.

Air fuel mixture may be it. Also it could be a bad catalytic converter. Also the timing may be the culprit.

Even if you could locate the correct adjuster, you will not be able to align the beam in accordance with MOT's requirements.

Only with the use of an approved Optical machine, will you be able to correctly adjust the beam of your headlights.

Unfortunately, this task is best left for the professionals only. A garage with the appropriate Optical machine can do this adjustment, for a small fee.

probably, because of the labour costs, try ebay, you may get them a lot cheaper , and fit them yourself, probably for half the cost

you need to bring it to a garage with a headlight alignment machine to pass an MOT. ensure the headlight position switch (on the right hand side of the dash) is set to "0"
