SOURCE: windshield washer does not pump fluid

The pump works off the same circuit as the wipers, so it would be same fuse. Most likely the pump is no bad.

SOURCE: Windshield washer fluid pump quit. 2005 Jetta

I have a 2003 Jetta and the fuse box is between the dashboard and the drivers side door. There is a lid that covers it on the dashboard side. Inside there is a diagram/fuse card. The card has one top rectangular series of fuses numbered 8 through 23. Below is a square series numbered 24 through 44. The washer fuse is number 24 on the top left of the bottom square series. For me, I checked the fuse and it was good, therefore I am assuming that my pump is dead.

My windshield wiper motor works, but washer does not work/

I would start by checking fuses. If you've checked already, then the windshield washer pump has probably gone bad. The wiper motor and washer pump should be separate units. Typically the washer pump is located in the base of the washer fluid reservoir.

The hatchback Accent has two windshield wipers--one on the front and one on the hatchback so the pump can run to pump fluid to them each separately. You need a specific pump for that. I've written up a step-by-step tutorial on how to replace the pump and have a link for the correct part at my website: Replace Windshield Washer Pump on 1999 2005 Hyundai Accent Share Your...

HI Dodge Caravan 2005 windshield water pump problem Where is it located and which fuse should I check Thanks, Andre

First of all, try to warm up the car to above 32 deg. F so that any ice may melt in the pump. Check that you have -20 deg. F windshield wiper fluid vs. the 32 deg. F fluid for the summer. Flush out any summer windshield wiper fluid. This will help to get it ready for winter which is already in full force.

If you still can't hear the pump humming or spinning, then try to replace the pump which is located in the plastic tank in most cases.

The fuse usually will not blow on the windshield wiper pump in my experience.

The pump either is frozen with water or is burnt out.
