SOURCE: starter relay clicks when you turn ignition key on
I would think bad starter. Remove it and have it tested to find out. It could also be the starter solenoid gone bad.
SOURCE: 98 monte carlo won't start,
same problem with my beretta. i was told its the alternator. they both have similar engines so im sure thats what it is.
SOURCE: where is the starter relay
I'm not sure if the relays are marked by letters and numbers but the relay should be identified by the letter "K". One quick question; on the second attempt do you lose ALL power to everything? If this is the case you may be looking at a bad ground and would check the ground wire for starters at where it connects to the engine block. Wish I had a diagram of the fuse layout and hope it's marked by letters and numbers for you. I hope this helps and good luck.
SOURCE: 95 jeep cherokee country 6 cyl auto. wont crank all the time
Sounds like a bad starter, why did you replace the crank position sensor? If the engine will not turn over at all and it sparks with trying to jump the solenoid with a screw driver it seem as though the starter is bad. First you solve the solenoid problem when you jumped the solenoid with a screw driver sending fire to the starter. Check the cable connections to the starter if they are good replace the starter this should fix your problem.
