P0443 (Ford) EVAP Canister Purge Valve Circuit Malfunction
The control signal to the purge valve is outside its nominal range.
Most likely cause is a failed purge valve. In your case it has likely stuck open, hence poor mileage. As always, check for loose fuel cap or fuel vent leak.
