Every 5000 miles or 6 months.

depends on oil
if 0w-20 synthetic oil is required this pushes the service to 10,000 miles and 12 months whichever comes first
unless you are such as: driving off-road, on dirt roads, towing a trailer,

WHAT'S NORMALLY THE CAUSE TO BREAK AN OIL PAN FOR TOYOTA COROLLA CE 2005

Bring it to a mechanic different than the one who gave you that advice. I suspect that the plug gasket is leaking. It is possible that you need a new oil pan if you hit it with something like a rock or driving over a curb. Again a mechanic can inspect it and tell you right away. The dealer oil changes have nothing to do with this.

I have heavy engine sludge on my 09 g37. I was told changing the oil could blow a valve. 65000 miles on it. How can I fix? What's the best course of action?

drain the oil and use a engine flush oil , follow the instructions to the letter ,may have to repeat after next oil change, do them every 3000 miles including the filter, nothing beats good maintainance 15k what was you thinking !

Hello Everyone, I am in need of some advise here, I have a 1995 Corolla, and THIS IS MY FIRST CAR, so I dont know mucch about cars, though I am very enthusiastic to learn about them. so I would like to...

The general rule is to change your oil and filter every 3000 miles, some heavy duty oils say 5000 miles. If you want to be sure go 3000 miles, change oil and filter and clean or replace your air filter and your car should last a long time.

Burning Oil

we check oil every other fuel fill up. on old cars, every fill up
did you run car 10,000 miles to a oil change? unstated.
1qt/3000 miles is perfectly OK.
so 10000 mles is 3.3 quarts burned and off the top of the dip stick
if you drive fast, it burns more, got a heavy foot, or load in back>?
if you had done it right, you'd have already learned YOUR engines
consumption rates, and learned to check when IT , needs checking
we do this on all engines. all machines.
all engines burn oil, the exception , a church car, new, and never driven, far, or fast or for 10000 miles to an oil change.

your mech, was right, he was thinking , you dont check oil?

When I went to get an oil change I was told to come back when my indicator said 10%--I drove 4 months and It was only at 80% if I wait for 10% it may be a year?

How many miles have you driven in 4 months?---You are going by the oil life percentage indicator when you read that message...
I don't recommend doing this...Change your oil every 3000 miles, or every 5000 if use a synthetic oil....I hope this helps,

How many miles between oil changes.

You should change your oil every 3000 miles. I have heard some people say 5000-7000, but trust me every 3000. I can't tell you how many times I rebuild an engine where the owner didn't change it every 3000, and the about of buildup is terrible. Hope this helps.

We recently upgraded our oil so that we only have to change the oil every 5000 miles instead of 3000 miles. We are also now seeing on our odometer screen "Oil Pressure Low - Stop Engine Now". ...

I would not drive the car. I would have the oil pressure checked with a mechanical oil pressure gauge to verify that you really have an oil pressure problem. There is a possibility that the oil pressure sensor or wiring is bad causing the light to come on. Hope this helps :)
