I have a 2001 Lincoln Town car, problems.engine/trans?

03 jeep liberty stuck in 4 wheel drive and not shifting out of second part time light will not cut of but will go to lo and high what can it be

If you have true 4-wheel drive as opposed to all-wheel drive and you were driving on a dry surface with four wheel drive engaged, you may have "wound up" torque between the front and rear drive trains. This happens because when turning, rear wheels take a shorter route than the front wheels and this difference has to be compensated for either in the transfer case or by slippery or snow covered roads, or it will bind, and the resulting pressure makes moving the selector very hard. You have probably felt this happening ("bucking") to a lesser extent when making tight turns while in 4WD in the past?

If this is the case, all you have to do is jack up the front end - and preferably get both front tires off the ground. The jeep should NOT be running. If it was "bound up," this will release the pressure and you will probably see the front wheels spin a bit. You should then be able to move the selector back to the two-wheel or all-wheel drive position.

Good luck.

i'd replace the relay first
or test its output. at 50 mph. (not easy)

3speed or 4 speed transmission>?

ill detail the 3L40 ,3sp first
the PCM/ECU commands TCC lock up.
the RELAY on the right front fender closes, sending
12vdc to the transmission, TCC PIN, and inside the TCC
solenoid opens. sending hydraulic fluid to the lock.

make sure the transmissions ground strap is present and not missing or damaged.

Transmission problem

The transmission in this truck is shifted by a computer based on many input valves sent to the Transmission control module which is part of the powertrain control module (PCM), so what must be done is to have the system scanned for fault codes and also live shift data info look at by a trained dealer tech who knows the system and what to look for. The very least you need is a live data scan tool and a factory service manual set.

P0735 relacion incorrecta gear 5 vw bora 2006 solucion

P0735 VOLKSWAGEN - Gear 5 Incorrect Ratio

Suerte.

P0735 is detected when A/T cannot be shifted to the 5th gear position even if electrical circuit is good.

Tech Notes
Start by inspecting the transmission fluid level and condition, and change fluid if necessary.

This diagnosis monitors actual gear position by checking the torque converter slip ratio calculated by Transmission Control Module (TCM) as follows:
Torque converter slip ratio = A x C/B

A: Output shaft revolution signal from revolution sensor
B: Engine speed signal from Engine Control Module (ECM)
C: Gear ratio determined as gear position which TCM supposes

If the actual gear position is higher than the position (5th) supposed by TCM, the slip ratio will be more than normal. In case the ratio exceeds the specified value, TCM judges this diagnosis malfunction.

Symptoms:
- Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
- Incorrect transmission shifting

Possible Causes:
- Low transmission fluid level
- Dirty transmission fluid
- Shift solenoids
- Transmission mechanical problems
- Transmission hydraulic control circuit

Transmission fluid

If your vehicle has the 5.2 liter, aka 318 cubic inch engine, there is only one transmission model applicable and it is the 42 RE which used to be designated the A500.It is a 4speed overdrive transmission. If installing a rebuilt trans and new remanufactured dry torque convertor. You add 4 quarts initially, then fire the engine and add another 5-6 quarts for a total capacity of 9-10 quarts.Fluid level is checked with the trans in Neutral. If you are only dropping the pan,you will replace roughly 4 quarts. The transfer case fills separately, but uses the same automatic transmission fluid.Capacity for the transfer case is about 2 quarts/fill to the bottom of the fill plug hole.Good luck.
