more than likely its you ground wire make sure its grounded good because if you dont then it could cause it to cut in and and out

might be a bad fuel regulator.. or your fuel pump relay might be going bad.. and also where did u get your fuel pump from.. i ran into a problem where i had to replace a fuel pump 3 times before i finally got on that worked right..

My 1995 2500 chevy trans shifts good from forward to reverse but don't shift to any higher forward gears sat for a couple months before that no issues this truck has the 6.5 turbo

Thats not good !
I suggest that the truck be started and warmed up a while.
Then try to drive it around a bit in the yard or where ever.
If that doesnt work out the suspected clog, then I would roll under the truck and look to see if something hasn't eatten away at the wire harness for the trans.

Bad fuel pressure regulator. Pull the vacuum line to it and see if it has fuel in it. If it has that is your problem.

if this is a distributor engine, check the cap and rotor. if it is a V8, it is a known problem.

1989 chevy 2500 will not stay running, gas tank is full but it will only start if gas is poured down the fuel injector

I would suggest..starting with our fuel lines. If you have an inline fuel filter change it. get a clear one so you can see if your fuel is even making it to that point. Could be plugged fuel line, bad fuel pump, (I think yours should be in the tank) I would start with the simple things first and go from there.
