Either the camera is bogus or power is not getting to the camera when you throw the car in to reverse. Check the power line tap off for the camera- may be by the reverse backup lights..
Unfortunately, it isn't worth "fixing" just the reverse clutches. An entire rebuild kit can be had for under $200. If it's slipping in reverse now, 1st is SOON to be shot as well.
Im sorry to say if your reverse band broke the only thing to do tear it down and fix the reverse band .If it is low miles you can just fix that .If it has alot of miles then I would replace are rebuild.Make sure CHECK YOUR FLUID!!!!!!.It would be nice if that was the only thing Ihope I helped you some .
I think what you were saying is your reverse slams, and only when you give it gas.
You can try to do the reverse slam fix, which is easy to do: Reverse slam fix
Sounds like you'll need a new reverse gear set. Not really an easy fix you have to remove and open the transmission. If you have too much metal in the oil you might need a new transmission seeing it probally already damaged much more like other syncros or bearings inside.
Ypu may want to ask another person for info on this problem. My experience with fixing tranny trouble is limited. But, please post the results of your fix.
