Hope this helps. You can look at new sensor, if there is a bolt hole, you remove electrical connector and then remove bolt. Some makes and models, even after you remove bolt, you have to pry it out. good luck

it is located on the right side of the motor, in the trans area. Actually in the bell housing.

It is on top of trans bell-housing / a ten mm. bolt holds it in place. may have to remove air filter to see it. it reads off of fly wheel, it is a little bit toured the fire wall on transmission . if you have perched the new one you will know more of what it looks like . hope this helps . feel free to ask again should you want any further assistance. maybe some one can supply a picture. My first guess would be the ASD relay.
Did you check to see if you are getting voltage to the coil, and a ground signal from the computer ?
